Points
When are points updated?
Points are updated once every week, check back on the website at the end of the week.

My points total is incorrect, what should I do?

I can't make it to any of the fundraisers or events, how can I get my points finished on time?
Write an article! It's 15 points per article submitted, you can write as many as you'd like!
How many points do I get by attending to a general meeting?
You get 5 points for every general meeting you attend as well as 2 points if you wear your AGS T-shirt.
AGS Scholarships
When can I apply for the AGS Scholarship.
You can apply for scholarships starting May 3.
Where do I turn in my AGS Scholarship Application?
You can turn in your AGS Scholarship application to Henan Joof in room SM 266 (Student Outreach Services)
Requirements
I almost have a 3.0, can I still be part of AGS?
Unfortunately, no. We require a minimum GPA of 3.0. But we encourage you to apply next semester!
I'm an international student, can I be part of AGS?
Yes! International students are allowed to join Alpha Gamma Sigma.
I don't have 12 units from GCC, but I have units from another community college. Can I apply for AGS?
We require unofficial transcripts from both colleges to calculate cumulative GPA and determine if an applicant can be an AGS member

Is AGS a sorority?
No, we are not a sorority. We are a co-Ed honor society club on campus.
Do I have to attend every event?
No, You do not need to attend every event, but you do get points by attending events. We also encourage everyone to attend at least one or two events because it helps the members meet new people and have fun!
Meetings
Do I have to attend the general meetings?
No, you do not need to attend all the general meetings, but members are always updated on what is going on with AGS and if there are any events, fundraisers, or academic field trips coming up. It is the best way to know what's going on!
